The Children′s Program at the Child Development Research Center (CDRC) is part of the College of Human Environmental Science at The University of Alabama. It is a multidisciplinary center that cultivates and disseminates research knowledge that will enhance child development and family well being.

In addition to providing a setting for research, the Children′s Center is a laboratory program that educates future child development professionals about development and appropriate practices with young children, models high quality programming for child care providers in the state, region, and nation, and offers an exemplary program based on a developmental perspective to the children of The University of Alabama faculty, staff, and students. Programs currently offered by the Children′s Center include infant, toddler, and preschool age groups.
