    APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

    The MFT concentration has highly competitive admissions. Because of the sequencing of required courses, students are only admitted to begin study in the fall semester

    Application Deadline: December 15

    We accept applications on a rolling basis
    Top applicants will be invited to interview for acceptance into the MFT Program.

    As part of the online application system, all applicants will need to submit/upload the following items:
    • UA Graduate College Application for Admission
    • HDFS Department application form
    • ​Official academic transcript(s)
    • Resume or CV
    • Statement of Purpose (addressing how your background/experience influences your desire to pursue MFT and what your future goals would be as an MFT)
    • Three recommendations (letters and required form)
    • Official GRE or MAT scores (exam must be taken within the past 5 years):
              GRE scores of 300 and 3.5 or higher in Analytical Writing are preferred.
              MAT above the 50th percentile are preferred.

    ​The HDFS graduate faculty review application materials and make a recommendation for an applicant interview. The MFT faculty make the final decision following the applicant interview.
